This is an update of the present situation regarding complaint from suffolk Coastal Environmental Health and Protection Department in relation to noise escaping from the building.
As you will have noticed, the Club has taken several actions to try and avoid being a nuisance to our neighbours and in the main the first complainant is reasonably happy providing we continue to make use of the function room when available and also keeping the volume down when bands playing in the Bar area.
However, we have been notified by another neighbour who does not want to make it official providing we do as promised to the Council. The Club has shown them the actions already put in place and dates that Club entertainment will most probably be in the function room and, for the time being, have gone away happy.
To enable the Club to move forward with the new Licence we have had to agree to some new conditions to comply with The Prevention of Public Nuisance objective.
We are therefore asking Members and their guests not to take any drinks outside after 11:30pm. We would also ask that, when leaving the Club Premises, you respect our neighbours by keeping noise levels down.
20th July 2012 - update on above. We can now confirm that the new licence has been granted.
The only real effect this will have is that the Club will no longer have to apply for TEN's for functions that require the sale of tickets for entry. The room will only still be hired
out to Members.
